The SOL Farms™ is an initiative to support small-scale growers of India who practice sustainable farming using regenerative methods without using any harmful agrochemicals. These agroecological farms are located across the length & breadth of our country and grow a wide variety of things including coffee, tea, spices, cereals, lentils, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc.
These awesome smallholder farms help protect the rich biodiversity of our planet by using environment friendly farming methods. They improve soil health by using organic amendments, tackle pest & disease issues by using natural/herbal remedies and use labor instead of toxic chemicals to manage weeds etc. They don’t use any synthetic fertilisers (which have extremely high carbon footprint and leach easy into the water bodies) or any kind of poison (herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, etc.) which pollute our soil, water and air.
These farmers are the true caretakers of our planet because each and every harvest is consciously taken to nourish us while simultaneously nurturing our soil, our water, our air and our amazing biodiversity (flora & fauna). Our vision is to promote this form of agroecological farming far and wide so that more people are inspired to join the cause.
The SOL Farms™ is essentially an informal network of agroecological farms with a shared goal. This goal is to grow food consciously, process it artisanally and offer it to you with utmost love & care. The ultimate goal is to take care of ourselves while consciously taking care of our mother Earth.
